I grew up in the Charlotte area of North Carolina.  I am the youngest of three children (all boys).  Interestingly, if you were to ask my brothers, they would say that I am an only child — a statement disproved by their very existence.

I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior when I was 12 through the efforts of a local church bus ministry.  The wonderful saints at this church taught me the importance and joy that comes with serving Christ and His church.  At the age of 17, I answered the call to full-time Christian service.

I went to Bible college and graduated in 2002.  I served as senior pastor for 6 years in Eastern North Carolina.  In 2008, I felt the Lord calling me to further my education, a path upon which I still trod.

I am married to the most wonderful and beautiful woman in the world and the Lord has blessed us with two children.  I currently pastor a fundamental, non-denominational congregation in Gloucester, Virginia.  My hobbies include writing, art, sarcasm, time with my family, woodworking, and all things baseball.  I enjoy reading for both business and pleasure and have a wide range of interests that include history, ancient languages (especially Greek and Latin), military strategy, mythology/fantasy, and the list could continue ad infinitum!

The Lord has truly blessed me and I am thankful each new day for his graciousness to me!

I hope you enjoy your time on this blog.  I am certain that my personal views will be at odds with others’ opinions in many matters.  Comments and critiques are welcome from all perspectives, but I do ask that you do so in a gracious manner.  Posted comments that contain vulgarities will be DELETED and users banned!
